MERLE K. LOKEN PH.D., M.D.1 and DALE GERDING B.S.1

1 From the Nuclear Medicine Clinic, University of Minnesota Hospitals, Minneapolis, Minnesota

A series of experiments were performed to evaluate the Anger scintillation camera (Nuclear Chicago) and the rectilinear scanner (Picker Magnascanner) as devices for detecting defects in a liver phantom containing a solution of 1 of the following 4 radioactive isotopes : Tc99m, Hg197, I131, and Au198.

The experimental results are given in detail.
