1. A simple method of positive contrast arthrography is described.
2. The medial meniscus is more commonly damaged in occidental populations than the lateral. It is also more accurately delineated by arthrography than the lateral meniscus.
3. Based on the experience herein reported, the use of arthrography as an aid in evaluating internal derangements of the knee is advocated.
