A case of nephrotic syndrome secondary to renal vein thrombosis is reported.
Three techniques of inferior vena cavographydirect femoral vein puncture, catheterization of the vena cava from above, and bilateral intertrochanteric injectionsare described.
It is emphasized that an alert radiologist with a minimum of special skills or equipment can play a crucial role in clarifying the etiology of the nephrotic syndrome in selected cases.
