FURTHER OBSERVATIONS ON THE VERTICAL FISSURE LINE

Thirty-seven cases of a vertical line visualized in the roentgenograms of the lungs in infants and small children, first described by Davis, are discussed. Evidence is reported to support the view that the presence of this line points to impaired ventilation of the lower lobe of the lung.
