TISSUE COMPENSATING FILTERS FOR COBALT 60 TELETHERAPY

A method has been devised for rapid assembly of tissue compensating filters which provide flat beam entrance surfaces while maintaining the skin sparing effect of Co60 radiation. Both experimental and clinical results illustrate the effectiveness of these filters as substitutes for bolus.
